UL Safety Certification

Every Burchda e-bike listed below has been certified to UL 2849, the North American safety standard for electric bicycle electrical systems. Certification was carried out by TÜV Rheinland of North America, an OSHA-recognized testing laboratory (NRTL).

UL 2849 covers the battery, charger, motor, controller and wiring tested together as one system, rather than each part on its own.

Riding rules still apply

Certification covers the electrical safety of the bike. It does not change local rules on where you can ride, how fast, or whether registration is required. Check the rules in your state and city before you ride.
