🛑 CRITICAL FITMENT GUIDE: SELECT YOUR SPEED Because different Burchda e-bike models (and different manufacturing batches of the same model) utilize varying drivetrain systems, these derailleurs are NOT universally interchangeable.
You MUST manually verify your bike's speed before adding this item to your cart. Using a 7-speed derailleur on an 8-speed bike will result in severe chain skipping and damage.
How to Choose the Right Option:
Walk over to your e-bike's rear wheel.
Count the total number of metal cogs (sprockets) on your rear cassette/freewheel.
Match that number to our options:
Counted 6 cogs? Select the 6-Speed option.
Counted 7 cogs? Select the 7-Speed option.
Counted 8 cogs? Select the 8-Speed option.
(Pro Tip: For the best shifting performance, we highly recommend inspecting your shift cable and derailleur hanger for any bends or damage when installing your new rear derailleur.)

Free shipping on orders of $99 or more to the lower 48 states and Canada. Orders under $99 ship for a flat $10.
Ships from our US warehouse
These items leave our US warehouse within 1 business day and usually arrive in 3–5 business days, typically via FedEx. Tracking is emailed as soon as your order ships.
Ships from our overseas parts warehouse
All other batteries and accessories ship directly from our overseas parts warehouse. The carrier varies by destination, and tracking is emailed as soon as your order ships.
Accessories included with your e-bike
Fenders, rear rack, phone mount, pannier bag, air pump, rearview mirrors, lock and the front Storage Cargo Basket (U8) are packed and shipped together with your bike when they come as part of a bundle. You don't need to order them separately.
Where we ship
We can't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, PO boxes and APO & FPO adresses. Optional Shipping Protection can be added at checkout.
Canada
The Pannier Bag and Rear Storage Cargo Basket ship from our US warehouse. All other batteries and accessories ship from the overseas parts warehouse on the timelines above.
Returns: Request a return within 30 days of delivery, and email support@burchdabikes.com for approval before sending anything back. Defective, damaged or missing items are replaced free, and a wrong item can be exchanged free or fully refunded. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned for a fee of $20 to $70 per item depending on size (batteries $50). See our Return Policy for details.
