The T1 Electric Dirt Bike is a new addition to the Burchda lineup, created for riders who want a more capable electric dirt bike for off-road riding.
It combines a chain-driven mid-drive system with a full twist throttle, removable battery, selectable speed modes, and two rider-fit options: the standard T1 and the more powerful T1 PLUS.
This guide introduces what makes the new T1 different, how the two versions compare, what the battery and suspension setup offer, and which model may better match your height, riding plans, and performance needs.
The Burchda T1 is designed around the controls you expect from an electric dirt bike.
You control acceleration with a full twist throttle. No bicycle pedals, cranks, clutch lever, or kick starter.
The T1 uses zero-start power, which means the motor can deliver power from a standstill. You do not need to pedal before the motor engages.
Your feet rest on rugged anti-slip foot pegs. These are not bicycle pedals. They are built to support your boots and help you maintain your position while riding on dirt, sand, mud, or uneven ground.
A 420 chain and single-speed final drive transfer power to the rear wheel. This keeps the riding setup straightforward so that you can focus on throttle control, braking, body position, and the terrain ahead.

The standard T1 and the T1 PLUS are built for different rider sizes and performance preferences.
The standard T1 uses a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel. Its 2 ft 5 in seat height is recommended for riders from 3 ft 11 in tall.
The T1 PLUS has a larger 17-inch front wheel and a 14-inch rear wheel. Its 2 ft 7 in seat height is recommended for riders 4 ft 7 in tall and up.
Both versions are designed for riders up to 6 ft 1 in tall. They are rated for riders aged 13 and up and support a maximum load of 260 lbs.
| Specification | T1 | T1 PLUS |
|---|---|---|
| Peak motor power | 3000W | 4000W |
| Rear-wheel torque | 200 Nm | 230 Nm |
| Climbing capability | 30° | 35° |
| Front wheel | 14 in | 17 in |
| Rear wheel | 12 in | 14 in |
| Seat height | 2 ft 5 in | 2 ft 7 in |
| Recommended rider height | From 3 ft 11 in | From 4 ft 7 in |
| Maximum rider height | Up to 6 ft 1 in | Up to 6 ft 1 in |
Choose based on rider fit first.
If the standard T1 and T1 PLUS both fit your height, then consider the power and wheel setup you want. The standard T1 is the more compact option, while the T1 PLUS provides higher peak power, more rear-wheel torque, larger wheels, and a taller riding position.

A 3000W peak mid-drive motor powers the standard T1 and delivers 200 Nm of rear-wheel torque.
The T1 PLUS increases peak motor output to 4000W and delivers 230 Nm of rear-wheel torque. It also has a listed climbing capability of up to 35 degrees, compared with 30 degrees for the standard T1.
The mid-drive motor works with the chain-driven final drive to deliver power to the rear wheel. This gives the T1 its electric dirt bike character and supports the more direct throttle response riders expect from this type of bike.
Both versions reach speeds of up to 50 mph.
Your actual riding speed will depend on the selected mode, rider weight, battery charge, tire pressure, terrain, temperature, wind conditions, and throttle use.
The T1 is built for riders who want stronger acceleration and more performance potential than a basic low-power electric bike provides. The right amount of power depends on where you ride and how comfortable you are on the bike.
The Burchda T1 Electric Dirt Bike offers three selectable speed modes.
These settings let you choose a level of power that suits your riding conditions. A lower mode can be useful when you are getting familiar with the bike's throttle response, braking, and low-speed handling.
A higher mode may be better suited to an open riding area where you have enough space and visibility.
The three-mode system gives you more control over how the bike responds during different types of rides.

Both the T1 and T1 PLUS use a UL-certified 60V 25Ah lithium battery.
This battery provides 1,500Wh of nominal energy capacity and offers up to 60 miles of range on a charge.
Actual range will vary. Higher speeds, frequent acceleration, steep climbs, loose ground, mud, sand, cold weather, rider weight, and tire pressure can all increase battery use.
The battery weighs 17 lbs and can be removed from the frame. You can bring it indoors to charge instead of moving the full bike next to an outlet.
The listed charging time is 6 to 9 hours. The charger supports 100 to 240V outlets, and the battery system includes overcharge protection.
The T1 has an IP54 rating for protection against dust and splashing water. This rating does not mean the bike or battery is fully waterproof, so avoid submerging either component.
The T1 uses a 150mm hydraulic front fork and a central hydraulic rear shock.
This suspension setup is designed to absorb impacts from uneven ground, including ruts, roots, rough dirt, and trail obstacles. It helps keep the bike more controlled when the surface becomes less predictable.
At both ends, the T1 uses 190mm hydraulic disc brakes.
The front and rear hydraulic brake system gives you more controlled stopping power when you are managing speed on loose ground, slowing down on uneven terrain, or riding through changing conditions.
The high-carbon steel frame provides the main structure of the bike. Combined with the chain drive, off-road tires, and anti-slip foot pegs, it gives the T1 a durable platform for recreational riding.
The high-elasticity soft saddle adds cushioning when you ride over rougher terrain. This can help make longer sessions more comfortable.
The Burchda T1 Electric Dirt Bike includes a 248 LUX LED headlight, a running light, and front turn signals.
At the rear, you get a taillight, brake light, and rear turn signals. This lighting setup can improve your visibility when riding in low-light conditions.
The T9 all-in-one display keeps your key riding information in one place. You can see your current speed, selected riding mode, and battery charge level without adding extra devices to the handlebars.
The T1 is built for riders who want a full-throttle electric dirt bike with a chain-driven mid-drive system, removable battery, hydraulic suspension, and hydraulic brakes.
It may suit your riding plans if you have access to trails, private land, dirt lots, pit-riding areas, or other appropriate places for electric dirt bike riding.
The standard T1 may be the better choice if you are a shorter rider or prefer a more compact wheel setup. The T1 PLUS may better suit you if you want more peak power, stronger torque, larger wheels, and a taller riding position.
This is not a bike designed around lightweight transportation, apartment storage, or pedal-assist commuting. It is built for riders who want a more active off-road experience and have the space to use it properly.
The Burchda T1 Electric Dirt Bike gives you two ways to choose your ride.
The standard T1 offers a compact fit with 3000W peak power and 200 Nm of rear-wheel torque. The T1 PLUS gives you a larger wheel setup, 4000W peak power, 230 Nm of torque, and up to 35 degrees of climbing capability.
Both models share the features that define the T1 platform: a full twist throttle, zero-start power, chain drive, a removable 60V 25Ah battery, three selectable speed modes, hydraulic suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, and integrated lighting.
Start by choosing the version that fits your height. Then choose the power level and wheel size that match how you want to ride.
