U8 Step-Through Commuter eBike

I’m so glad I ordered this bike! I now commute to work every day with this bike. Easy to put together, Customer Service was amazing when one piece was broken, even that was a super easy fix and did not get in the way of me riding the bike.

This bike was a great bike from the start. After over 1000 miles I still consider it a great entry level bike. I know of no bike with a 31.5 Ah battery at this price point. The bike has been reliable. The one concern I had was the 160mm brakes and they work well. The saddle is really good. It is fantastic. I put a zoom extension seat post and this is the most comfort you can get from a hard tail bike. I like the BMX handle bars. I like it has a horn and not a dingy bell. I got the rear basket and it comes with a front basket, so it is practical. You can get a New Bowler bag to fit the rear basket or order that set online. Makes it good where I carry my tools and medical in the front and I have Flat Out and a pump and other basics in saddle bags in the Basket bag in the back which I can take out and put on the side if I need to. With the saddle bags in there I can still carry a couple gallons of milk, pizza, can goods and cheese and more with them on the side. The bike is smooth. After over 1100 miles I have had not problems yet. The pictures below are the bike with the original temporary basket I had and the rear basket is there on the table. Later I got the bag and then put the wicker on the back of that basket. I can't seem to access my newer pictures on the PC. But this is a life changing bike if you haven't ridden in years. You'll ride a lot once you get this. Happy Riding.

We originally bought my husband a bike for hunting on the refuge, then ordered me the U8. Our 12 yr old granddaughter loved mine so we purchased one for her birthday. We have 22 acres to ride on. Great exercise, love the bikes.

excellent bike. my wife loves it but so do l. l am 6 1" 230lbs and ride it. the bike is as fast as my pro5. plenty of power and response with the 31.5 amp battery. love the way the battery comes out. flip the seat unlock and pull handle bingo done. very cool, powerfull bike with front basket that you can actually carry stuff. good looking bike!

This is a great bike for any woman it’s well built and has plenty of power.My husband assembled it in no it was very easy…Highly Recommend!!

Purchased this bike for my wife so she could ride along with me. She has a handicap and this bike was perfect for her to get on and off of. It was easy to assemble and she found it easy to operate. Really like the quality of these bikes mine is the Rpro

The u8 battery seems like it never gives up really love the distance on the u8.
The torque is tremendous. It seems to have plenty of pull.
Really enjoy the u8.

I was looking for an EBike that was easy to handle and I certainly found it with the U8 commuter!!!
It was a breeze to assemble and a dream come true to ride! The specs are spot on and the battery is able to hold the charge for plenty of ride time! I definitely recommend this bike for anyone riding for pleasure or to get to the office!!

This is Wednesday night and I got my bike two days ago. Built it Monday and had first ride that night. It is fun and a smooth ride. I had watched a lot of reviews and researched a lot of bikes. I decided on this bike for lots of reasons. It hs not disappointed. I'm 5' 11'' and didn't really think I'd take to a 20" frame. After trying one at the local bike shop I thought, yes, I can be comfortable on the U8. So, number 1 it had the 31.5 ah battery. I have a 7 ah Magicycle 26 inch that I have enjoyed, but the distance is limiting. With 31.5 ah battery my range test looks like I'll easily get over 60 miles on this, So I can go to town and tool around without worry of getting stranded. Now the price point of the U8 made set it apart from anything else I found on the market. At 1,049 I got the upgrades I wanted. In that price was an extra 50 for the back basket. That makes it vey practical with the front basket coming with it. Gives you room for tools, water bottles and whatever you may want to pick up on a ride. It has front suspension which is nice for your arms. It has a extra wide saddle so you don't have that expense. The saddle is very cushy. very happy. big upgrade over my commuter. I liked the looks and comfort of the BMX style handlebars. It gives you the upright position sitting which is comfortable to me. It is a big change with the 4 inch fat tires. I like it. The U8 handles well. The peddle assist is responsive and you can ride in low for a real bike experience with help and no ghost pedaling or you can use its power. It has the power. It has a half twist throttle on the right side. I am glad it is on the right. It is a nice looking bike to in the gray I got. It looks beefy. They did a nice job integrating the wires. All looks well. The headlight is bright and has a strong tail light, It does go the advertised 25. It takes time between 20-25mph so it won't throw you. They throw in a lock and phone holder. The phone holder works great. able to check the speedometer and it is accurate. The fenders are metal. I just don't know how you can beat the bike for the price. I was looking at several at 1500 price that didn't have the range and lots of extras this has. I'd have paid a little more if they had the bike with hydraulic brakes and 180mm brake pads. But the baskets and seat make this the most practical best buy I see on the market that looks good too. Another very popular brand can match price but does not look as good and come with the cushy saddle. I am overall very satisfied with it after a few rides. There are few in its class with 31.5 amp hours. I'd recommend it. It is a fun ride. I don't have the back basket yet, as you can see. If you want a lot of bike and fun on a 1k budget, this is the bike.

I bought 2 of them. 1 for my wife U8, and the other for me RX80. Took a little while to put them together, but it was fun and easy. They're built strong and very impressive. Head turner. Love it!!

This was packed with intelligence .. with enough properly placed padding and wrapped to secure a delivery with absolutely no movement making for no damage or missing elements.. if this bike is built as well as it was packed to ship I won’t be disappointed

Love this bike! This is my first e-bike and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it. It’s really well made and the company was quick to respond to one broke piece.

The battery lasts quite a long time and folding is easier than I thought it would be.

This has been my commuting bike to work and I’m so happy with it!

Absolutely love our ebikes one for me and one for my wife. I can truly say after researching all the different Ebikes this one is absolutely amazing. We have rode our bikes for one week now and the battery has not even dropped one bar yet. We are senior citizens and love them.

We bought this bike for my wife because she had concerns about only being 5/5 and a 31" inseam. The bike was nicely packaged and no damage from shipping. Assembly was pretty straight forward and no issues putting it together. It did take a while to charge the battery for it didn't come fully charged. The bike came with everything expected. Although not as powerful as my RX30 my wife loves it. It outperformed what it said it would do at 28 MPH and she was comfortable with it on our 1st ride. I think its range will be pretty good w/PAS cause we were out for 11/2 hours with them and they both still have all the bars lit up on the BDI. The bikes seem well built and definitely worth the money. I did research alot of different bikes and kept coming back to these. Happy Riding!

I did alot of research before making a purchase and the one conclusion I came to was that Burchda bikes had a high rating in customer satisfaction for the overall quality and performance in their bikes, I purchased 3, I got 2 U8’s for my wife and granddaughter and an RX 80 for myself, without a doubt it is the best decision I’ve made in a while. The ride experience is unmatched. Their customer service is top notch, I had quite a few email exchanges with customer service and Jimmy Han was excellent in giving me timely responses.

Great bike for the price and shipping was quick and easy. Assembly was simple as well.

BATT. DID NOT LINE UP WITH HOLE HAD TO FILE IT OUT . BIKE IS ALOT MORE THEN OTHER BIKES I HAVE SEEN. VERY FAST AND GOOD LOOKING .DID NOT LIKE TO SEAT I CHANGED IT.

I love this bike. It is perfect for getting me to work and the gym quickly without having the inconveniences of car ownership. An absolute gem for those who live in a small city area and need to get around.

I bought this one for my wife and she loves it! Assembly was easy it took about 35 min.If you are looking for a very nice ladies' bike. Go for it it's a good one!
